Kid Nation

Today we watched another episode of kid nation today. In the episode the kids are acting in play stage because they are wearing cowboy hats and outfits. Play stage is when children play pretend and act the way they think others would act. The kids are wearing the different clothes because they are in the desert. Therefor, they wore more cooler clothes because it was hot.

The kids used socialization so they could get along together. Socialization is how to participate in group life(must be taught how to behave and interact with others). They have to get along or the village will fall apart. The kids do an okay job at socializing with each other. But they need to learn how to socialize a lot more nicely.

Greg was cussing at the other kids because he was mad at the other kids. Also the kids were going to go to sleep earlier so they can work better in the morning, and that is resocialization. Resocialization is the process of adopting new norms, values, attitudes, and behavior. They gave the kids a 9:00 curfew. Even though the village was upset, They feel it was a good decision.

The teams were later called together to play another game. They had to catch specific sheep in a group. The council is yelling to there team, so there team would find the right sheep. This is total institutions because the council was telling there team to do. Total institutions is Places in which people are separated from the rest of society and controlled by officials in charge. At the end yellow won first, blue won second, green won third, and red won last.
